SOLVED Media Player defeats screen saver

When playing music with Windows Media Player, I wish the screensaver would activate, like it does over any other program I have open. Is there a setting on Win10, that would allow this?

Hi Nels,

There is an option to allow the Screen Saver to work while Windows Media Player is playing a file.
  • Open Windows Media Play
  • Press your ALT key then select Tools > Options
  • This opens the Options window by default with Player tab selected. If its not then select Player tab now
  • Under Player Settings place a check next to the second option: Allow screen saver during playback
  • Click Apply
  • Click OK
