I get the following message from a number of websites (not just Target) saying Edge is not up to date wanting me to update to Chrome, Firefox or Safari. I have all the Windows 10 updates installed.

It's time to upgrade your browser.
Please use one of the following browsers to shop on Target.com.
You'll enjoy a smoother, more secure online experience.

I can just use another browser, but my understanding Edge is supposed to have better security.

Hi j19876,

I've taken a look at the website using Edge and am not receiving the error message you experienced.

I'm using Microsoft Edge 41.16299.15.0
  • If you click the . . . in the top right corner of Edge, then click Settings and scroll to bottom you can check which build of Edge you are on.

There is a possibility the website just had a bug in it that is now resolved, However, if you are on an older build you could go to the Microsoft Store and check for updates there:

  • Open Microsoft Store
  • Click the . . . at top right corner of Store window, then
  • Click Downloads and updates
  • Then click Get updates
