Microsoft hinting at Merge in next OS

Citing insiders, Microsoft watcher Paul Thurrot is reporting that the tech giant wants to merge not only the Windows Store and the Windows Phone Store, but also the app environments, including the runtimes, APIs and SKDs.

Very interesting... and not an easy task at all. I guess they have to do something to make the Windows Phone a success, so I guess having this would simplify things greatly (once the hard work is done!).

I don't actually know anyone with a Windows phone, it's all Android or Apple (with a few Blackberry devices).
