Mounting question

I have just generated USB installation media on a bootable ISO. with Rufus but wish to check its viability. However; mounting it seems to be beyond my level of expertise. Please help.

Not sure what your goal is but....
You do not mount the installation media that you have created using Rufus on the USB ThumbDrive.
You can however mount the ISO to examine its' contents and compare the two by exploring both in File Explorer if that is your goal.
Simply right clicking the ISO and choosing mount should display an additional drive in File Explorer. Right clicking that extra drive and choosing eject should eliminate it.
