SOLVED No sound on certain apps

On yahoo messenger I get no sound when someone is calling me. On certain games I get no game sounds, but do get alert sounds.

 

[Trouble]

Right click the speaker icon on the right hand side of your taskbar near the clock and choose open volume mixer and make sure that the yahoo messenger is not muted as in this picture "Skype".

Thanks for replying Trouble. I had checked the mixer before and all devices and apps are reading normal. No mute. I've gone through everything that I can think of and all looks fine. Yet sound problems still exist.

Ok, I just found the problem. I can receive sounds through my headset, but not through regular speakers. I changed the default and now all is working normally. Thanks for replies.
