Hi welcome to the forum! Your screen shot shows that you're trying to open the file. Your post says you want to remove the file. Where is the file located? How are you trying to remove the file? Is this in your programs?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028054/windows-repair-or-remove-programs-in-windows-10
Let us how things go.

I am trying to remove the item in that programs list. I already uninstalled KCP/MPC-BE, BUT windows still shows it in the list. I am not deleting any of my personal files. I am aksing help with that leftover I marked with red in my snapshot. It that a registry key leftover? How do I remove it?
I believe my question is pretty clear:
How do I remove this item in this apps list. I uninstalled it, but windows still shows it there. I have marked the item with a red frame.

I say "item" because I dont know what that is and why is it showing a location of an already uninstalled program in that list form the screenshot. Is it an error? a registry key leftover?

Hi no it's not a registry leftover. I have Googled KCP/MPC-BE. I'm not sure what it is? There are assassin programs for removing files that refuse to be deleted. https://www.technorms.com/9240/delete-undeletable-files-easy
This is the best I can do for you.
These are useful techniques for removing persistent and harmful malware files. However, remove your files with caution. You may end up deleting essential files if you don’t do it carefully.

Hi, KCP is a codec pack like K-Lite Codec Pack. KCP was older so I uninstalled it. Didnt I mention that?

I found them! The leftovers are REGISTRY KEYS form KCP.

Hi so what were you attempting to do. Prove that we may not have all the answers all the time. I could have told you to use regedit and F3 to search for left behind registry items, but then the staff here would have been all over me, for advising you to go into the registry and do some thing that might brick your PC. I suppose you think your the only one here that understands how to use regedit. Wrong; I'm very aware how to use it, but I never recommend it to a newbie.

Welcome to the Forum NUTELLAforLUNCH.

The program itself comes with an Uninstall.exe.
  • Via File Manager go to the Program folder
  • Run the Uninstall.exe
    • For Stage 1 of the uninstall, click the Analyze button and wait till its completed.
    • Then for Stage 2 you need to click the Scan Leftover button

As you have found the Registry key it would be fine to delete the Hive which will achieve the same result as the Scan Leftover button if you have all ready deleted the Program Folder.

I found a backup of KCP setups http://codecpack.co/download/Kawaii-Codec-Pack.html

I apologize for starting this thread at all. What I did now, was I reverted back to the old registry from before I modified it tonight. And all I did was install KCP Black again and unassociate all the file types in MPC-BE.

Lol, sorry about that guys. I should have just though of that before.
But still I dislike a forum where staff restrict people from normal advice...

I think you are being a bit harsh. Editing the registry is not normal advice.

That would be the Information tab in your profile. Hover over your name in the top right and select system specs.
