Preparing to upgrade question.

I have one app that is shown to be incompatible on the "Check your PC" page.
It says "You will need to uninstall this app during the upgrade"
The app in question is Comodo Internet Security v5.5, and according to the net, it can be a problematic uninstall.

So, is it better to attempt to remove it prior to upgrading or let the upgrade process handle it?

I don't know for sure, as I've never actually used Comodo as I've also read that uninstalling can be a problem, sort of like ZoneAlarm.
My suggestion would be to make every effort to get rid of it in advance of attempting the upgrade and then run the Check Your PC utility again.
