TeamViewer is excellent (although it was in the news recently because people re-used passwords from other breached services).

It depends on what you are wanting to do long term.
IF you're looking for something to help the occasional friend or family member once in a while "for free" (non-commercial use) then....
It's pretty hard to beat something like TeamViewer.
IF you're planning on making a living offering robust support for profit then you might want to take a look at something like http://www.splashtop.com/
They seem to offer a wide range of pricing models that won't land you in the poor house.

There are a lot of considerations when it comes to remote desktop support. From file transfer capabilities to the number of concurrent sessions, price per supported client versus price per technician, etc.

I have used Teamviewer for a few years now.
It is excellent and fairly easy to operate.

But I suspect that working with 100 PCs constitutes commercial operation so it wont be free.

Would 'Remote Desktop' not do?
I use that for networking RPi/Arduino units
