SOLVED Screen display

Don't know why, so it's posted here.

Just updated my Acer Aspire 5750 Laptop to windows 10 today & suddenly the best screen definition available is 1024 x 785, with the option of 800 x 600. I haven't seen this sort of display since the late, but not lamented VGA days.

What ambush have I walked into here?

OK, not to worry, when I address the problem through the Control Panel (Display) & not Settings, it gives me the option of 1366 x 768, which is fine, with the proportions correct again.
