For some reason in the last month or so, my start button sometimes doesn't work....either with the mouse or keyboard. I'm forced to do a reboot. Anybody else experiencing this? It doesn't happen often, just every now and then.

Hi bassfisher6522,

do you have a laptop and active touchpad mouse as well as a normal USB mouse?, I find that if I disable the touchpad mouse, the problem stops!. :)

My 2012 Dell i3 desktop has never had this problem (W10 Home 1709 16299.192). I use the mouse for Start button. I've only used 'Windows Update' & 'hard drive image restores' (Backup and Restore Windows 7 ; Norton Ghost 15) to get from W7 to now (W10).

Jan 2011 (Amazon) bought a Belkin KVM switch (F1DJ102P-B); mouse & keyboard currently use KVM switch for 2000 98se/2k/XP Dell & 2012 W10 Dell desktops. 2000 Dell VGA goes thru KVM, 2012 Dell video could go thru KVM, but does not; Dell monitor has 2 inputs. Originally used KVM for 2000 Dell & 2004 Gateway Linux desktop.

And your point is........what does any of this have to do with the issue at hand other then you saying you've not had this issue. The rest is just fodder.

I'm mean no disrespect, just some constructive criticism....but answers like this do nobody any-good. There is no actual help being given.
