Startup freezing.

on power up the PC freezes before getting to password screen.
When I reset the PC (second power up ) it continues to the password screen and all is O/K.
Is there a fix for this.

Sounds very like my problem... I have to shut down with power button ...... if I don't everything stops in 50 to 60 seconds. The second boot works perfectly. This behaviour occurs on absolutely every second attempt to boot!!!
Also have a tendency to 'freeze' if there is no keyboard activity. Guess we both await an educated answer!

When your PC is not running well, there is an option " Reset your PC" you can use.
Try it...............................
Start button > left side, select settings > select Update and Security > left side, select Recovery > right side, under Reset this PC, click the Get started button.
