Stuck on "Preparing automatic repair"

I turned my computer on and it automatically said "preparing automatic repair" and loaded a screen asking me to choose my keyboard layout but it remains stuck there as I can't do anything passed that. My computer was running fine a few mins earlier, as I just had to restart it. Is there any options? Booting into safe mode, etc.

 

[Trouble]

IF you are using a wireless dongle with a wireless keyboard and or mouse, you might try substituting a generic wired USB mouse and or keyboard temporarily to get you over the hump.
