Windows 10 - v 1803.
250 Samsung SSD with 232 GB avail.
Just installed 10 (clean install from what was 7 Home).
This is bugging me.
Manual restore points seem to disappear the next day.
ran antivirus, malewarebytes & superantispyware.
Plus error checking & chkdk /FC
Yes volume shadow on auto.
Lastly moved in System Restore config from 5% to 9%.
Also tried a regedit creation (as it was missing): SystemRestorePointCreationFrequency - DWord at 0.

The last suggestion I found on line was to go to RUN and type in C:\windows\inf\sr.inf - well thats missing .
If that is the culprit, I am stuck on how to fix that. I found suggestions for Windows 7 & Vista - but not 10.

Help!!

Update. Now all my manual points gone!
I checked the regedit screens and the SystemRestorePointCreationFrequency I created is gone!
Within the System Restore folder there is a new folder that was not there earlier : ErrorReport Files.

The path to that SystemRestorePointCreationFrequency entry is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore
