Unable to create back-up

Error: The task object version is either unsupported or invalid-0x80041313

I've Googled the error and tried everything. including a reg fix. Apparently has something to do with the Task Scheduler. I'm about ready to contact MS, but several blogs I read people have done that to no avail. It appears to be a widespread issue. Anyone have any magic on this?

Yes sir, it does. I am getting errors in the task scheduler that do not show in the reg. I think it's time to format and re-install.
