Unable to create system restore point Windows 10

Hi!I have Windows 10 64 bit machine.I am trying to create a system restore point but machine hangs and stalls at the "create system restore point" as shown on screenshot below for hours and I cannot do anything on the machine and I am eventually forced to restart machine by pressing power button.

I am having same challenge (ie machine hangs forcing me to restart) when trying to create a system image,USB recovery drive and using Macrium backup.

Kindly aid in resolving this as I have no Windows backup or restore point.
