SOLVED undo storage spaces

How do I undo storage spaces in Windows 10 Home ? I've searched but can't find information pertaining to how to reset my external drive to the way it was before storage spaces altered it making it unusable for back ups.

When I attempt to remove the drive I get an error message that says -can't remove drive because there is no place to relocate data . Add another drive & retry.
I don't want to add another drive that may be useless. The other option is to remove the pool & warns any data on the drive will be lost. The only data on the drive came with the drive as it is new. If it is lost the drive will not work.

Copy the software that came with it to a flash drive or something. Then you can copy it back after. Also, the software should also be available on the external hdd manufactures website.
