Just a wild guess but have seen it happen, have you deleted or changed some system Fonts?

Hi,

have you applied any special theme that you downloaded from somewhere?, I would try changing your theme and see if that helps. :)

Open the Control Panel and (Start menu - system). Click the "Fonts"
Click "Font Settings" and then the box "Restore default font settings"

But trying to look at your picture, is it the fonts or the icons?

Hi,

did you check Settings > Ease of access to see if there is something in there causing it?. Also Settings > Display and check if you have the recommended display settings?. Scale and layout and Display resolution. :)

Hi,

in the 2nd pic, you have the scaling set to 175% which is not the recommended setting, try looking at that and lower the scaling a bit. :)

What are your Ease of Access settings set to?. What graphics card do you have and have you got the latest drivers?. :)

Hey Wolfie. I am also slow, and getting slower, at everything.
Could you, or another contributor, Post an isolated clip of the exact problem. I seem to have lost the thread somewhere!!

Hi Dave,

if his opening post is anything to go by ("My Windows 10 is acting strange the fonts in menus look like square boxes"), he has a problem with the graphical display of his fonts, it is very hard to tell from the pics as to what the actual cause is?.

In post #13, the first pic shows him using "High Contrast" settings which may be the cause (scroll down to view his pic).

Possible cause is a mixture of high contrast and scaling settings?.

High contrast settings.
