Also the same error (failed to install). There are a few posts on the internet with others having the same problem. The update is not listed yet on Microsoft's web catalog where you can get a manual update file.

I just checked too see if there where any , it popped up for a second tried to download and the error occurred. I have been over reacting on issues found out if I wait Win 10 fixes itself but then I thought I would make it know what found out.

You do have enough disk space?

When I have experienced this, it has usually been due to a time out on the download. I have a very slow domestic internet connection, and, at home, have sometimes had to press the "Try again" button, three times. Got there in the end!

How do I get the update to work on a 32 bit as I keep getting the following message Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3122947) - Error 0x80070643. The link works well on my 64 bit machine but not on my 32 bit.

Hi all, just signed up to post a solution which worked for me as per https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/3vibsc/win_10_kb3122947_error_0x80070643/

Run CMD as admin:
dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\c4a1b8896ce9fbfea96c1ee6890d52a5\windows10.0-kb3122947-x64.cab

Worked for me as well

Mine just the opposite it quickly tried to open and fail never thought about try " third time is the charm" theory worth a shot. That is what I wanted to name my computer I bought it and turned it twice for issues they could not fix finally the third work and is running fine.

I do not have this particular update installed but I believe that it is part of a larger Cumulative Update that was pushed on 11.24.2015. I searched Microsoft Catalog Update and it is not listed. I believe it is part of the larger update shown below:

See my post if you have KB3120677 then you do have it. MS needs to stop this BS about not saying what is in these updates. They are doing nothing but causing confusion. We have a right to know what is being put on "our" machines.

The poster means use a command prompt as Administrator.

Right click the start icon select "Command Prompt (Admin)" and copy and paste the command
