My Windows 10 Update Screen has been spinning for an hour, how long should I wait before a shut down ?? Thanks in Advance

Could you provide more information.
Win 10 version, 1511 or 1607?
Your PC specs, such as model and manufacturer or custom build, and did you upgrade to Win 10?
Where are you in the update process when you encountered the spinning circle?
Installation process could take a while if you have a HDD. SSD drives are faster. I can usually install current version of Win 10 clean, including the download of a full image, in about an hour on a Samsung 850 SSD.
