With Windows Mail outgoing emails go in to outbox but are not sent. How do I correct this?

Always best to check with your email provider's website.
They will normally have instructions as to how to configure Windows Mail.

Using Mail app on Windows 7, 10, you can quickly read and respond to messages from multiple accounts, send flies, and pictures, and set up an automatic reply when you're away.

I wasn't aware it was possible to send an email and it not send.

Are you using a phone or computer for your email client? It might be that they are just taking a while to send (if you're on computer). Phones are a whole other story. You might not have set it up correctly if it's a phone.
