WiFi Printer and Sonos System Not Found by Win 10 Home version 1803, build 17134.48

I am have a Toshiba laptop running Windows 10 Home version 1803, build 17134.48 (the most recent Win update was installed on 5/10/18). Ever since the Windows update, Windows has been unable to locate either my WiFi printer nor my Sonos Home Audio System (also identified via WiFi). As I see it, this is clearly a Windows update problem for the following reasons:

• there were no issues printing or controlling Sonos prior to the update
  
• another computer in the house with a much older version of Win 10 is able to print without issue
• i have confirmed that my laptop is able to see the printer outside of Windows by using an application named "Network Scanner"

This is very frustrating and I don't know what to do to get things working again. Anyone have similar problems? Any ideas for a fix?
