Windows 10 install with download tool

Hi

Can anyone steer me in the right direction. After downloading the windows10 install tool it comes up with the error code 0x8007045D - 0x90002 and wont go any further. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

Assuming that you are trying to use the Media Creation Download Tool because you were unable to get Win 10 via Windows Update.

If that is the case, give the following a try and see if Windows Update will start downloading Win 10.

Follow this path until you get to Download folder.......
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download.

1. Open the Download folder and delete all the contents inside. ( Don't delete the Download folder itself.) Then go to #2.
2. Open Elevated Command Prompt and copy/paste this ......
wuauclt.exe /updatenow

> Enter.

When done, try the Windows Update again and see if it works for you.

 

[Trouble]

There seems to be some indication that, that error may be linked to a third party security suite, present on the system you are attempting to upgrade, so.....
You may want to consider that and try uninstalling any such software in advance of attempting to upgrade.
