Windows Mail malfunctioning

For some time now Windows Mail has been posting a notice that one of my email accounts is out of date. It tells me to enter my password so I can be identified, but the password field does not work and I am unable to enter my password, so that email account no longer receives new emails in Windows Mail.

Another email account in Windows Mail also became out of date, but the password field was different for that account, I could enter my password and it works just fine. Why is it different for the other account? I can only access that account in a browser now.
