Wireless Mouse keeps highlighting

I have a HP laptop...About a week ago my mouse started acting up by highlighting everything on a page...I changed the batteries and that didn't work so i bought a new mouse still the same...I've contacted HP support to no advail...Any suggestions... I have Windows 10...Thanks...

Hi Beth,

Welcome to the Forum.

• Try right-clicking on Start then selecting Control Panel
• When the Control Panel opens if you are viewing by Category change that to view by large or small icons.

• Now click on Mouse to open the Mouse Properties window then check to make sure the ClickLock is not checked!
