SOLVED 2004 and malwarebytes

Don't ever run two anti-malware software side-by-side.
You have to install only one at a time.
If you have two Anti-malware side-by-side then it will cause lagging in the system.
SO use either Windows Defender or Malwarebytes.
That is it.

Hi Justin,

MWB can be used in tandem with Windows Defender!, I agree that you shouldn't have 2 AV apps on the same PC, Windows Defender will disable itself when it detects a fully fledged AV app being installed. If you try and install Norton and Avast for example, you will have problems with your computer!.

I found that MWB stopped the install of 2004 ver. on my laptop and once I removed MWB it updated ok.

Wish I had known this before I had all my problems.
