Build 14279 rs1 Released today

The notification are is still messed up so far that is all I have found. I have only had it installed 5 minutes.

I was in the process og going back to 10586 when I noticed the update. Just wish they would fix stuff anfd forget about Cortana and Edge.

Edge is their mobile browser solution and Cortana is......
well it's Siri only slightly better.

We desktop users are going to need therapy to get our collective heads screwed on straight.

I show nothing in quick access and the notification area is still mucked up.

Did anyone else notice anything like this when they were downloading the new build today?

Not me, the setting has been to the far right ever since they made it a 3 ring circus with Updates in the middle.

That was on my Hyper-V, Virtual Machine.
I'm going to try it later on my physical test machine and see if I see the same thing

This is nuts. If I change it to show This PC I see the folders that should be in Quick Access.

Since I never use Quick Access, but always "This PC", I had to double check.
Seems to be OK, but again this is in my VM not an actual physical machine.

Seems to be running dog slow right now with 100% disk usage and upwards of 75% memory usage.
Think I'll give a while to sort out its' woes.

@Trouble I see that 'problems with insider... ' thing. I did chase it once and all I got to was to re-login to my MS account. I just ignore it now.


The basic stuff in this new build seems to be there, I'll look some more tomorrow.

I can't figure out what is causing this. I have checked everything including the registry and all is set right. This to me is not that big of a deal as I still have access to the folders. It was OK in the previous build. Since there is nothing the QA , I have since removed it. Maybe the next build will fix this.

Both my Insider PCs seem happy with this build...but then they don't have many apps.

I just reverted back to 271 for a look see. I did not have nay quick access there either

Naw I do not even use the quick access and if I ever do a clean install it may be back to 7. I am going to explore some of my images and see if I can find the quick access. I may then be able to move it to this build. I found a fix on the net but it is rather complicated.

I have tried every method I can find to correct this but none of them work, The consensus that I found by looking is that most users do not want quick access so I think I will quit before I pull out what little hair I have left.

I got them back by following this from The Windows Club. Now I am not concerned about the cumulative update
