Hello how are you. Could you please help with this problem?

I re-set my Toshiba laptop yesterday and afterwards my Microsoft PW was rejected, so I can't access my computer.
I have the same problem trying to log in via local pw option.

I changed the PW and it works on all my other devices but again not on my Laptop. I changed it again twice and still have the same problem.

Many thanks

Peter

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Can we assume that after typing your password you've use the "eye" icon in the password text box to confirm that the password is being entered correctly as you have typed it??

Are you certain that what ever caused you to "reset" the computer is not part of the current issue??

As a last resort
You might be able to rescue your computer by enabling the normally hidden / disabled Administrator account and use that to possibly fix the password problem on your local user account.
You'll need to boot from the installation media. If you do not have the installation media on hand you can download the ISO from here
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Once you have the ISO, you can use ImgBurn to burn it to a DVD, http://imgburn.com/
or Rufus to burn it to a USB ThumbDrive, http://rufus.akeo.ie/
either of which you can use to boot your computer.
THEN...
Follow the steps outlined here
http://pureinfotech.com/2015/11/20/how-reset-windows-10-forgotten-password-regain-access-computer/

It works. I've personally used it on more than one occasion.

Well your Microsoft password is configured on the MS servers. You can access that account from any device where you can change the PW or do whatever you want with it.
