Dvd player...

So this is my first time owning a Windows computer and everything was going great until I figured out you have to pay for a dvd player app.... Why in the hell do I have to pay for a dvd player app? This is the dumbest thing ever. Dvd players are free on every other device except windows. Did Sony really beat you that bad on xbox sales to where you have to charge 15$ for a damn dvd player? Well if you're reading this I wouldn't recommend windows unless you wanna fork over your cash just to enjoy movies.

Thank you for the response but unfortunately I'm already ok the road so it's too late to try and download it now. But I will try when we reach our destination thanks.

FWIW I'd download from videolan.org NOT from the Windows store.

VLC is good. I use Pot Player which I personally like better than VLC. Both are free.
