SOLVED File Explorer not working

Hi All

Got a new HP Envy laptop running W10 and all has been ok until the last two days with "file explorer"(FE). Trying to access FE via
- Left hand side windows icon on task bar, then FE or
- FE icon on the task bar or
- Right click on FE icon on task bar and select "documents"

I get no response in each case i.e. no separate window appearing showing my files on the C drive. It worked ok a few days ago. So, at the moment I can't access my files.

The only thing that I have done is to install software for Epson SX405 scanner/printer.

Any ideas?

try to run in cmd run this command SFC /SCANNOW then press enter it sounds like bad windows or
corrupted windows

Thanks Joetech 1, for some inexplicable reason.............FE is now working ..........the only thing I did was to log in as the other pc user and see if FE was working for them. It was. I restarted and now can see my files.

Anyway, just in case it happens again I'll try your suggestion next time.
