After my recent reinstallation of Windows 10, I no longer get the context menu options "Play with Windows Media Player" and "Add to Windows Media Player List" when I right click a folder containing videos which is set as "Videos" in the customization tab.

I've had those options for ages with Windows 7 and even in my previous installation of 10, so I have no idea why I don't get em anymore.

Hi Zenzyme,

Is this an issue with just the one specific video folder?

Did you create the folder yourself, or is this the Video folder you see when you open File Explorer to the This PC section?

Could you right click the folder to view its context menu, then press Ctrl + Alt + Print Screen button( or its equivalent) then open Paint and paste there then save to desktop and upload the image here so I can view its current status too please.

It's possible third party apps fighting for context menu space shoved your wmp off the list per se In such a case usually tidying the context menu up would resolve this for which one can do so manually via their Registry or use tools designed to do this more easily from developers like Nirsoft. I'll mention more on that later once you reply.

Another possibility is a minor corruption of WMP that could be resolved by uninstall and reinstall which is a simple process and again I'll explain more on this later if necessary.

First some answers to the opening questions and requests so we can address the correct issue.
