SOLVED Invalid value for registry

Hi - I've recently found that I cannot open files with .jpg extensions by clicking on the file in Windows Explorer to open with the Photos app. I can open the files if I use the Open With option and select a different program such as Photoshop.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem and have some suggestions for a global fix to use the Photos app?

Does the "Photos" app work OK when you launch it from the Start Menu?

You posed a good question. I tried to open the Photo app from the Start Menu and nothing happened. Today I could open the app and it works correctly. I'm guessing the app was not installed. Strange but with a happy ending. Thank you for the tip!
