I have no idea what the device is, but.....
There are some basic networking things to consider.
Is the device receiving an IP address from your wireless router?
Is the IP address on the same subnet as your computer?
Can you ping the device?

thanks. the device has an IP address. I am connected to it but probably it is not defined as a casting device ? or maybe I should define something in order to create a net for casting.

Again, I'm not experienced with that particular device.
My Sony Bravia TV just shows up as a device in...... Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers when it is turned on.
And then I can browse to any video file on my computer, right click and choose "Cast to".

Have you check device manager you may have to use the View menu to show hidden devices. Scan for hardware changes.
Does the device show up there, under Digital Media Devices?

Does the device require a firmware update to function properly?
Have you ever had it working?
