SOLVED MS Office web apps

My 2012 Dell desktop has Microsoft Office 2010. Looking at Microsoft Office web apps (free).

What happens if you click Install Office while using the online free version?
Does it switch to a subscription version of Office?
Would it uninstall my MS Office 2010?

I'm still logged into MS Office web apps at Office dot com.
Looks like you could click on either Install Office or Buy Office.
Can you Install Office with the one tab and not buy Office?
Buy Office 2019 OR Microsoft 365?
Delete my Office 2010?
The FREE online version will probably be all I need.

I would think that with Office 2010 you should be good to go for a while.
I don't believe that you'll find a whole lot of benefit or actual difference for that matter.
Personally, I have the 365 subscription so I'm usually updated to the latest and greatest, but in all honesty, for what I use it for I really couldn't tell you a single thing that I can do now that I couldn't do with my 2010 version (maybe opening a PDF and converting it directly in MS Word, not sure when that became available).
As far as buy versus install, I believe they have a trial version which may be what you get if you choose the install option.

yes, also got confused when trying to upgrade to latest OFFICE.
I finally upgraded, since also by Children will benefit from the "Family" license.
And ind addition you get the the 1 TB OneDrive capacity, which is a good deal compared to other vendors in the market
