My printers have stopped working and I get the message that Windows can't open Add Printer. The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. I've restarted the machine several times with no solution. How can I restart the print spooler?

Right click the start button and choose run and then type
services.msc
hit enter
Scroll down left column to find Print Spooler.
You can right click it to start and stop it.
Double click it to set the startup properties to automatic

I had the same problem with my print spooler not working since I had installed Windows 10. That was 2 months ago and the entire time my printer did not work. It would only scan for some off reason. Went through all the different help forums out there, tried EVERYTHING, nothing worked. UNTIL this morning. I found a site that mentioned "Tweaking.com" windows repair. I ran the program and NOW my printer works again. I could not believe it!!!!!!!!
