Hello and welcome to the forum.
I'm sorry but your post does not explain the full scope and extent of your problem or how the problem came to be.
So it's virtually impossible to make any informed suggestions as to how you might proceed. I can only say that.....

You might be able to rescue your computer by enabling the normally hidden / disabled Administrator account and use that to possibly fix the password problem on your local user account.
You'll need to boot from the installation media. If you do not have the installation media on hand you can download the ISO from here
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Once you have the ISO, you can use ImgBurn to burn it to a DVD, http://imgburn.com/
or Rufus to burn it to a USB ThumbDrive, http://rufus.akeo.ie/
either of which you can use to boot your computer.

THEN...
Follow the steps outlined here

Also wondering whether this was a real Microsoft Tech Support, or one of the scam artists.

Who knows..... not much information in the OP to go by.
I have no idea if the computer boots at all, or if it does what the OP can or cannot do if it does.

There is a "question" as to whether or not they can remove the hard drive and of course the answer is yes (assuming the requisite skills to do so), but I'm not sure what would come next??
A scan for malware?
A Check Disk for possible physical issues?
A wipe of all contents and partitions?

Without more info from the OP we can but guess...... I guess.

its not a malware, okay i will explain

so my first profile ever created on this PC is named "Daniel" but then there is some weird thing going on some icons on the start menu are like Corrupt Photo Icon, which shouldn't happen cause they have their own ICON
i contacted their support Official Site i checked the URL some Girl Tech support used remote LogMeIn method
she said create a new profile to fix the icon, i backed up my C;/Daniel/Files to new created administrator account "Dan" then she deleted the profile, but i wanted to delete the Old C:/Daniel/ too, but i can't its all fked up now , then she ended up getting disconnected and left me with this issue , then i contacted another support and created a new so called "Built in" and.......... it didn't work also i tried deleting the "Daniel" Folder it always says "You Need Permission From S-1-5-21 etc... and surprisingly "Daniel" is still the owner The deleted Account. LOL see? its all fucked up.

SORRY FOR MY POOR ENGLISH.
