In task manager I see the above is using 16% of my CPU all day. When I rebooted, it went away but came back. Any idea what this is?

Thanks.

16% is not particularly high at all.

Have you noticed any performance issue with your computer? If not, leave the Service alone!

It's not high, but it's new. I have never seen this before, running endlessly, all day.

The Network Service account is a built-in account that has more access to resources and objects than members of the Users group. Services that run as the Network Service account access network resources by using the credentials of the computer account. The actual name of the account is "NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE"

Don't mess with it!
