Start button, etc wont work

After installing 10 from the option when starting my machine, everything appeared to go well, however I cannot use the start button task bar etc , nothing happens.

I now want to revert back to windows 7 but the help screens advise I need to go into "settings"
How do I access settings if the start button wont give me the option to select settings

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a Restore? Or an option in Settings to reload Win10 but keeping your settings and data?

Because the start button wont work , I cant view settings unless there is another wahy

Try hitting Windows key + R to get the Run dialogue then type control panel. You may be able to proceed from there to a restore point or whatever.
