SOLVED Startup icon not working (nor Search box)

Can anyone help me? Since the installation of Build 10074, if I click the Startup button at bottom left nothing happens. I can right click it to get a list of Control Panel options, but I cannot go into it as before. Also, the 'Search the web and Windows' box to its right is completely unresponsive. I cannot type anything in the box. Everything else seems to work fine.

1. Does anyone know how to get Startup, Cortana and Search working again?
2. Is there an alternative route to Setting > Update & Recovery so I can make sure I am getting updates, etc?
3. Is this the best place to report issues (such as this) since I can no longer access any means to give feedback on Windows 10 using the software?
