Win10 Pro will not update to version 1703

My PC always fails to complete the update at around 8%. I have tried running the update diagnostics, which tells me it has found several errors that has been fixed. But it still fails to update and when running the diagnostics again, it finds the same problem as before and it says it has fixed them again? If the same problems are still there, it cannot be fixing them at all.

I also found that "ntoskrnl.exe" is causing errors but I have tried the MS virtual agent which is useless!

Well it doesn't matter to much now since next week we will be dealing with FCU ver 1709, the best way is to go get the download from update catalog. http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=KB4016240
that link is for 1703, I don't think we have one for 1709 yet for the public should be there next week
Your probably have some issue with the WU download
another option is to use MCT to create a windows install media USB thumb drive and do a inplace upgrade install select keep my files etc.https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
