Without knowing what printer it actually is, my suggestion would be to
Right click the start button and go to control panel devices and printers and remove it if it is present.
And then use the new printer wizard to add a new network printer.
When it comes to installing a driver, make sure you click the windows update button and give it five minutes or so to populate any and all new drivers that windows has and then select the printer from the list, first left column and then right.
If it fails to detect the printer, then you may have to manually configure a standard TCP/IP port.
