As of August 21, 2020 Microsoft has apparently decided to remove our ability to adjust these registry entries.

I see it as the more and more 10 evolves and updates itself.....MS programmers are taking more and more from the end users abilities and/or rights to add/use 3rd party software and registry edits. To me, it seems to be dumbing down the end user as it's the beginning to become a one and done/plug and play OS.

No reason to 'upgrade' to a newer build unless it adds some must-have feature or fixes some problem. Still on 1903 and can't see a compelling reason to change.
