W10 Version 1607 Failed To Upgrade

KB3194496 failed to update on 4/5/6/&7/10 ERROR CODE 0x80070007. Previous version 1607 KB3189866 worked OK.

Hi redtrev.

• Click Start > Settings > Update & security
• Just beneath the Check for updates button click Update history which will open a new window like below:
  
  
  

• If you see that Requires a restart to finish installing below the KB3194496 then click on Uninstall updates which will open this window:
  
  
  
  
  
  As in image above type KB3194496 into the search field which will result in this:
  
  
  

• Follow instructions in image above to uninstall KB3194496.
  
  Note: This will take several minutes 10 - 15 minutes quite possibly.
  
  When uninstalled you will then need to restart your computer.

• Once you have restarted computer after the uninstall, simply click Start > Settings > Update & security and click Check for updates which will then download a new copy of KB3194496
  
  Once its finished downloading it'll give you the usual option to Restart now. Do not choose this option!
  
  Instead, close window and any other programs first.
  
  Next click Start > Power icon and select Install update and shut down
  
  The initial 30% will install then computer should shut down. If it freezes at 30% and does not shut down, then press and hold the power button until computer turns off, then press power button again to restart computer.
  
  The remaining 70% of update will install resulting in hopefully a successful update, which will appear like it did for me as in image below:
